The Shafter is a precision tool from German production. The Shafter is adjustable by means of a grid function for every shaft diameter.
Shafts of all three current diameters (5/16, 11/32, 23/64)can therefore be calibrated exactly.
The wooden shaft is from an exact defined length and from an exact defined diameter compressed together and is now 100% compatible with the Bearpoint points.
After the compressed part of the wooden shaft was coated with an epoxy resin, the Bearpoint point is fitted and locked exactly with the outer diameter of the shaft. For the different shaft diameters three guide sleeves are included.
