Timber Creek Lil Rattler 62" - Longbow/Flatbow
Starting at: £7.07
The Lil' Rattler maybe designed for the younger archer, with the scaled down grip, 62" length and in lower poundages. But this is no mere kids bow. With its speed and stability this flat bow can hold its own along with the other Timber Creek bows.
Recommended brace height is around 7.5"
Great Lil' Bow
Lets not beat about the bush; this is a great little bow. I bought one for some youngsters I teach, but was a bit worried with the relatively large handle when it arrived. It should be fine for adults, but for youths maybe an issue. This was proved with a 14 year old who hated the handle when he tried it 9 months ago. However, after a growing spurt (lads tend to do that!), I dropped it into his hand for one session - and I haven't seen it since!
An adult archer also had a go one morning - she had ordered one that afternoon and you cannot get better praise than that.
A quick summary - smooth to draw, lovely looking bow and works fantastically for the slighter build archer. Heartily recommended.
A well-polished bow
The bow is very polished. I switched from WW nano max recurve to this traditional bow. My first feeling is that this bow start to stack around 26" draw, and the draw curve increases rapidly after 27" draw length. It is definitely not merely a youth bow, as the grip is very fat. You need a medium or big hand for that. Last but not least, very fast and very quiet (mine is 30lb). I switched to a 8125G string. For 30lb, my 30lb recurve arrows are too soft for this bow.
