Merlin Archery and Timber Creek has made another amazing bow and I'm really happy with it. I purchased the Cottonmouth earlier this year and that shoots really well already, but the Diamondback shoots just as good. Don't get me wrong, the Cottonmouth is my favorite longbow. But in terms of the recurve, this could also be a new favorite.
First of all this bow is so nice to look at, I got the green/black 50# and I can't help but smile when I look at it. It's smooth to draw and is pretty quick. A lot more aggressive than I thought it would be, but I like the speed it kicks my arrows out. It's a ton of fun to shoot and I can't seem to put it down.
If there are any cons to this, the only one is the limb tips. In the review video it mentions the improved limb tips are black and white, the ones I received were only black. This however is not a big deal to me, it still shoots amazing, I'm just nit picking at this point. It's just something to note if you are thinking of getting one of these.
Still love this bow, superb job!

Stunning in every way

I went to Merlin with every intention of walking out with a Cottonmouth but had to try the Diamondback as I loved the look of it. After a long break from shooting I found the dIamondback far more forgiving and much more relaxing to shoot. Not too heavy in the hand, super smooth to draw and satisfyingly muscular when shot. I tried several other (cheaper) bows but was sold. The Cottonmouth is a lovely bow by the way but too focused for my rusty form, I can definately see one in my future to keep the DB company.
