Decent starter riser!
Brought this as my first riser so obviously I can't compare to anything other than a club training bow! That said, it feels very well made, very comfortable in the hand and I would recommend, the only issue I did have was the pocket adjuster nut came loose a couple of times & messed up the tuning-nothing major just a bit aggravating!
Great beginner's riser. Bought one for my 14yo Son about 6months ago. He loves it. Excellent VFM.
I've been shooting with club equipment for a few months and decided to get my own gear. Been shooting with this riser for a couple of weeks and it's just incredible! The finish is great, the grip fits my hand perfectly, and it shoots like a dream, since getting it my PB has gone up by over 30 points! Would definitely recommend to anyone who's not too sure
Good so far!
I'll start by saying that this is my 1st ever riser and I have not got much to compare it to! That said, I have not had any issues with it as of 3 months of using it and the finish on the paint work is excellent! A few club members have had a quick look but unfortunately as I'm a leftie, none of them have been able to properly test it out. I was torn between this riser and the SF Forge+, this was £20 cheaper but that had nothing to do with my decision in the end. Being 'different' with it's Magnesium build sucked me in, and although it was a risk with only 1 review, as I said I have nothing to complain about so far!
The 1 small small thing I will say is that the thumb knuckle tends to rub a bit on the grip as it's not flush with the riser frame at that part of the grip, it's a very minor thing and could simply be down to my own grip.
Superb riser at a great price
I bought this riser in matt black 2 weeks ago and after 3 club sessions and over half a dozen garden shoots I couldn't be happier. The finish quality on this bow is excellent. The paintwork is impeccable and all thread holes are clean. If you are looking for a cost effective light riser then you can't go wrong with the Rio. Having had the Hoyt Horizon, W&W Rapido and the Rio on my shortlist the Rio came out top riser. The handle fits perfectly into a standard grip - which has a rubberised feel making it softer in the draw with absolutely no slip. Although I know this can't be guaranteed my riser required virtually no adjustments. All in all this riser is a superb bit of kit - cost effective, light, brilliant finish, excellent feedback, looks great and has drawn a lot of positive attention from seasoned archers. As yet...can't fault it.
