Got the complete Avancee kit to replace my Merlin Active balance rods.

First thing I noticed was the weight difference. These rods are very light (not always a bad thing). As such it took a wee while to get used to.

Visually the rods look excellent. So far they have performed very nicely. The standard weights are pretty decent, I don't think I will need to adjust the weight distribution too much.

One thing I did find was with the bolt that holds the Merlin Quick release V-Bar to the extender. I found that this bolt was too long, and needed to be cut down before it could be used. (Posted on 20/03/2012)
